Skin not working

Post by chal2les »

I am using the lastest gumax theme, but having problems with it showing up.

The skin shows up on my skin preference. When I apply it, it shows up as text and does not have any of the images or borders, etc...

I did do a SSH Secure File Transfer and extracted the file with winrar.

Using 'gumax';

Help?

I am using a VMware Appliance rpath that has everything preinstalled.

An appliance that bundles up Linux, PHP, MySQL, Apache, MediaWiki and the rPath Appliance Platform.

So not sure what files I am missing?

So you did copy all skin files into the skin folder? you need to double check to make sure all file are copied and all files look good.

I guess the mediawiki has the difficulty to find the skin path if all files are there.

Since you are not using online hosting, most likely is your server setting.

Hi Paul,

I have installed MediaWiki on an Linux server and want to use your GuMaxDD skin that is really nice!! When I change the skin I get a complete white page with all Contents will display in one column at the left. I have no image and no navigation bar. Even when I use the GuMax skin it is the same. You talk in some post before that something has to be done if the wiki is installed on a Linux server.

Thanks for your help and your great work at the skins

Somehow the CSS file didn't get loaded with your browser.....

Check your browser setting and your web server and make sure RELOAD the page.........

Hi Paul,

thanks for the fast answer. I am not sure where I can enable to use css files. I searched for the settings but i couldn't find anything. But I checked the version of MediaWiki and it is 1.11 (that is the one I can install with apt) and maybe there could be the Problem?

Thanks
